Jackie Rizzo-Cascio
Physical Therapist
Jax is originally from the east coast and has recently graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont. Jax has been an active runner and competitive athlete all her life. She also enjoys hiking and snowboarding and has been practicing yoga for many years now. She became certified in LYT® functional movement yoga in 2019 and has been teaching ever since.
The road that Jax has taken to get to this point has been a bumpy one. In the last ten years, Jax has undergone three hip surgeries and two heart surgeries. Doctors said she would never again have the active lifestyle she had grown to love. Thankfully, Jax found that physical therapy, LYT® yoga, and staying active has helped her feel stronger and more integrated with her body. Through her journey, Jax has learned to have a never give up attitude, and she wants to share and instill that attitude unto others.
Jax believes that with a functional physical therapy plan in combination with LYT® yoga and moving “smarter” and not necessarily “harder” in our own bodies can be incredibly beneficial to not only the patients but the community here in Denver.
From her own personal experience, Jax has developed a great interest in helping individuals dealing with all varying forms of hip pain and dysfunction. She strives to help individuals gain a better quality of life, and to make sure everyone has the chance to feel healthy and strong in the body they were given. “Healthy movement patterns are a top focus of mine, and I want to make sure I am helping all of my clients achieve them. No matter who they are, or what they’ve been told, everyone deserves to move pain free, regardless of age or injury history.”
