Zach is a Colorado native returning to Denver after studying Exercise and Sports Science and graduating with honors from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. In his time there, Zach completed an undergraduate thesis focusing on skeletal muscle fiber types and took specific coursework honing in on sports nutrition and metabolism as well as sports psychology. During his time in North Carolina, Zach also worked as a CrossFit coach and presented sports nutrition seminars to his clients.

As a former hockey player, Zach is all too familiar with the rehabilitation process. He has returned to sport from various joint surgeries, and he has developed a passion for physical therapy and rehabilitation through his time spent as a patient. Zach plans to continue his education, starting work on his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2025.

In his free time, you can find Zach training for triathlon, strength training, or creating new recipes in the kitchen.

Zach is a certified strength and conditioning coach (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a certified personal trainer (NASM-CPT) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a certified CrossFit Coach, and he is sports nutrition certified (CISSN) through the International Society of Sports Nutrition.
